I’m a Nebraska based wedding photographer that craves those timeless and intimate moments. With over two years of experience and shooting over 50 weddings, you can trust I’ll never miss a moment. When I’m not capturing life’s most cherished memories you can usually find me spending time with my husband and son, tending to one of my many houseplants, or sipping an iced latte. I’m here to give you something that’ll bring you right back to the second in which it was captured.
I’ve had the pleasure of capturing countless moments behind the lens, but few have been as personally meaningful as Lacie and Austin’s Omaha proposal. Our story together began before I ever even picked up a camera professionally! It all started back when my nursing career brought Lacie and I together during the intense days of the Covid pandemic. As I transitioned into Cardiac ICU to support my colleagues, Lacie quickly became someone I admired, and a true friend! She even stepped in to help with my son, Henry, when my husband and I were juggling opposite shifts. Her support meant the world to me!
As I began to explore photography more seriously, I nervously asked Lacie and her boyfriend, Austin, if they’d model for me. Thankfully, they said yes, and that day in March 2022 became one of the stepping stones for my photography journey. I got to know Austin’s family and then Lacie’s, capturing little snapshots of their world and ours intertwining. By the time Austin was ready to propose, he and I were already in cahoots about how to pull off the perfect moment!
One sunny afternoon while golfing, I half-joked with Austin about wanting to photograph their proposal someday. Little did I know, he was already one step ahead of me! About a year later, I got a message from Austin—he was looking for engagement spots in Omaha. He was struggling to find the right place, so we brainstormed together, ultimately deciding on the stunning setting of Chalco for its seclusion and beauty!
With a ring hidden ingeniously in their apartment ceiling, Austin and I crafted a plan to get Lacie there without any suspicion. I told her I needed a model for a “branding session” to practice for a friend, and she happily agreed. As I suggested outfits (and another friend ensured her nails were done), Austin was preparing for the big moment behind the scenes.
On the day, we met at Chalco, and I led her to the pre-arranged spot under the guise of taking a few solo shots. As she posed, Austin emerged from behind a bush, and the look of surprise and joy on Lacie’s face was just pure magic! She never saw it coming, and the moment was perfect. I think we were all crying!
Reflecting on this incredible journey with Lacie and Austin, it’s hard not to get a little emotional. I’ve had the privilege of seeing them grow not just from behind my camera but as someone who truly cares about them both. Our story began in the trenches of nursing, where long shifts and shared challenges laid the foundation for a deep friendship. It’s been a wild ride watching their love evolve, and capturing those moments has been nothing short of an honor! Lacie and Austin exemplify love, partnership, and that perfect mix of fun and sincerity that makes life so rich.
I can’t wait to celebrate this next step in their journey and to see what beautiful moments await them in the future. Here’s to Lacie and Austin’s Omaha Proposal—and to the incredible adventures that lie ahead!

“… Looking through our wedding photos, for the first time, brought tears to our eyes as we relived that day through them.”
