I’m a Nebraska based wedding photographer that craves those timeless and intimate moments. With over two years of experience and shooting over 50 weddings, you can trust I’ll never miss a moment. When I’m not capturing life’s most cherished memories you can usually find me spending time with my husband and son, tending to one of my many houseplants, or sipping an iced latte. I’m here to give you something that’ll bring you right back to the second in which it was captured.
Catherine and Steve had the most intimate Nebraska Micro Wedding on a gorgeous October afternoon. They wanted their wedding to feel more intimate and personable than your typical wedding so they did just that!
From the get go Catherine was the sweetest bride! I could tell just how much she loved Steve and how excited she was for their wedding. She filled me in on all the details of how they met, fell in love, and how he proposed on the same trail they took their first walk on together.
It was so important to Catherine to feel like herself on her wedding day so she knew she needed to do her own hair and makeup. I love it when my brides add their own touches to their wedding day and wow, it turned out beautifully!
Catherine and Steve planned to keep the day simple and let the details speak for themselves. Catherine made her own unique bouquet for herself and her bridesmaids out of dried florals. They kept their wedding colors clean, classy, and elegant with black and white. I’m a huge fan of a classy and elegant wedding theme and love how everything came together!
The first look took place outside of the church with just Catherine and Steve to soak in the moment. The way Steve looked at Catherine really tugged on my heart. You can tell just how much the two of them love each other by the stolen glances and little smiles.
During their couples portraits I noticed Catherine’s beautiful dress was getting muddy. We quickly jumped into action with stain removers to get the mud out of Catherine’s beautiful dress. Although this is often a bride’s biggest fear on their wedding day, Catherine handled the mishap extremely well.
I admired how everyone joined in to the remove the mud from Catherine’s dress. Steve’s mom, Catherine’s mom, aunt, and cousin all joined in and worked diligently to wash it out. Once the stains started to lift we went outside to shake off any residual cleaner and have the sun dry and naturally bleach the dress. Drying the dress in the sun worked so well that the stains were barely noticeable anymore!
The ceremony at North American Martyrs Catholic Church in Lincoln, Nebraska was beautiful. The love between these two is so real and undeniable. The way Catherine rested her head on Steve’s shoulder during the ceremony and the way they held hands at the altar during the blessing. There was so much emotion in the ceremony. After their first kiss as husband and wife Catherine and Steve shared the sweetest hug.
After the ceremony, Catherine and Steve had a small cake cutting and reception in the parish hall of the church. It was important to them to celebrate with their closest family and friends. A time for them to focus their gratitude towards their guests that joined them on such an important day of their lives.
Congratulations Catherine and Steve! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your beautiful wedding!
