When Morgan and Blake reached out to me to capture their engagement session, I knew it was going to be something special. Their story is one of patience, persistence, and a love that overcame busy schedules. As we set out for their engagement session in Downtown Omaha at the Douglas County Courthouse, it became clear that their journey was just as beautiful and unique as the photos we captured!

Their Love Story

Morgan and Blake’s journey began three years ago when they first connected on Hinge. Their communication got off to a rocky start. Morgan was on vacation with terrible service, and Blake was juggling the demanding schedule of his residency! Despite these early challenges, they soon found themselves on a first date at Mula in Omaha, Nebraska. Despite their nerves, they enjoyed drinks and eventually shared Taco Bell, marking the unofficial start of their love story! This was a moment they commemorated during their engagement session, Taco Bell included, symbolizing how far they’ve come since that first date!

The Douglas County Courthouse

The first half of their session was beautifully set against the historic backdrop of the Douglas County Courthouse. The grandeur of the courthouse complemented the elegance and sincerity of their relationship. Morgan is a dedicated pediatric nurse practitioner, and Blake is in the final year of his residency. And they truly brought a palpable energy and intimacy to the session! Each photograph captured at the courthouse served as a vivid reminder of their enduring partnership!

From Courthouse Elegance to Nature’s Embrace

After capturing the essence of their love amidst the architectural beauty of the courthouse, we transitioned to the lush surroundings of Hitchcock for the second half of the session. Here, amidst the natural beauty of the outdoors, Morgan and Blake’s two dogs joined in, adding a playful and heartfelt dynamic to the photos! Their furry companions brought out the couple’s most authentic smiles and genuine interactions, providing a perfect contrast to the more formal courthouse setting.

Looking Ahead

As Morgan and Blake prepare to move to Florida shortly after their wedding in June 2025, this chapter of their lives begins with cherished memories captured at their engagement session. Their love story serves as a testament to resilience and commitment, from those initial texts to the moment when they said “yes” to a lifetime together. It was an honor to document their journey, and I have no doubt that their future is as bright and promising as the photos we captured that day!
