I’m a Nebraska based wedding photographer that craves those timeless and intimate moments. With over two years of experience and shooting over 50 weddings, you can trust I’ll never miss a moment. When I’m not capturing life’s most cherished memories you can usually find me spending time with my husband and son, tending to one of my many houseplants, or sipping an iced latte. I’m here to give you something that’ll bring you right back to the second in which it was captured.
Last November, I had the pleasure of photographing Bethany and Steve’s fall engagement session in Omaha, Nebraska, and their story truly came to life through my lens! We began at the Field Club Trail, then Homer’s Record Store, and finished on a parking garage rooftop in downtown Omaha! Each location held a personal significance to them. And I love that they were so intentional with choosing their locations!
For their engagement session, Bethany and Steve chose the Field Club Trail in Omaha, a location close to their hearts. They frequently walk this path together, and it provided a calm, natural setting for their photos. Capturing them in this familiar environment highlighted their easy-going connection and the comfort they find in each other’s company! They really let loose and were completely themselves, laughing and joking with each other. Their love for each other was so clear in every photo.
Next, we headed to Homer’s Record Store, a special spot to their love story. Bethany and Steve’s mutual passion for music originally brought them together and how their connection deepened! The store’s eclectic atmosphere offered a vibrant contrast to the trail, showcasing their shared interests and the excitement they still find in their relationship. Getting to go back to the beginning to celebrate their future was simply magical.
Finally, we ended the session on a rooftop of a parking garage! With the sun setting in the backdrop, it couldn’t have been more romantic! They brought along a bottle of champagne and glasses from Bethany’s parent’s wedding to celebrate. I made sure to get photos of them popping open the bottle followed by lots of laughing as it sprayed everywhere! It was one of the best champagne pops I’ve ever seen! This was the perfect way to conclude their dreamy session, and I’m so in love with how these photos turned out.
Here’s a little about them: Bethany and Steve’s weekends reflect their fun and relaxed lifestyle. On Saturday nights, they enjoy socializing with friends, playing board games, having bonfires, or watching Huskers football. Sunday mornings are more laid-back, often spent lounging in bed or joining Steve’s family for a meal. These activities give insight into their life together and added a personal touch to their engagement photos!
Overall, Bethany and Steve’s fall engagement session was a wonderful way to highlight the significant places and activities that define their relationship. From the serene trail to the lively record store, their photos captured both their personal history and their shared interests, making for a memorable and meaningful session. I got to really know this sweet couple throughout this experience, and that’s one of the things I love most about my job! Making deep connections and friendships. I hope they cherish these photos for years to come!!
