I’m a Nebraska based wedding photographer that craves those timeless and intimate moments. With over two years of experience and shooting over 50 weddings, you can trust I’ll never miss a moment. When I’m not capturing life’s most cherished memories you can usually find me spending time with my husband and son, tending to one of my many houseplants, or sipping an iced latte. I’m here to give you something that’ll bring you right back to the second in which it was captured.
When Lacie and Austin decided to have their engagement photos taken in Charleston, I was thrilled to join them in such a beautiful location! Their choice wasn’t just about capturing stunning photos; it was also part of a broader plan. They had a trip to Charleston lined up for wedding planning, including seeing their venue for the first time, meeting their wedding planner, and tasting food options to pick their caterer. With so much already planned, they thought, why not make the most of the trip and have their engagement session there too? Let’s dive into their dreamy Charleston, South Carolina Engagement Session!
We kicked off Lacie and Austin’s dreamy Charleston, South Carolina engagement session in Downtown Charleston, which offered the perfect blend of classic Southern charm and modern romance. The cobblestone streets and historic architecture provided a romantic and timeless setting. Walking through the city’s vibrant streets, we found unique backdrops and spots that added so much depth to their photos. We had an absolute blast wandering the streets and finding the most stunning spots!
Our next stop was the enchanting Legare Waring House. The ancient oak trees draped in Spanish moss set the perfect scene that literally felt like something out of a dream. The serene gardens provided a peaceful, fairytale-like environment—the kind that Lacie had always imagined for her engagement photos. Knowing that this was her dream made it so much more magical!
Finally, to wrap up Lacie and Austin’s Charleston, South Carolina engagement session, we ventured to the beach during the ethereal golden hour. The sky turned into a canvas of oranges and pinks, and Lacie and Austin couldn’t stop laughing and hugging, truly soaking in the moment. They popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate both their engagement and the incredible day they had in Charleston. The gentle waves and soft sand created a relaxed and romantic vibe, perfectly ending their engagement session on a high note.
Charleston offered them not only a beautiful backdrop for their engagement photos but also the chance to immerse themselves in wedding preparations in a city that means so much to them. Lacie and Austin’s decision to have their engagement session in Charleston added another layer of significance to their trip, blending the excitement of planning their future with the joy of capturing this special time through photos. Their engagement session was more than a photo shoot—it was a collection of memories intertwined with family ties and wedding anticipation in a city that holds a special place in their hearts.
